The I-9 Form is the Employment Eligibility Verification form, it is used to verify the identity and legal authorization to work of all paid employees in the United States.


I-9 Instructions

The W4 Form is filled out by an employee that is to be on your payroll to indicate their tax situation. This will tell you the amount of tax to withhold from their paycheck based on the information they provide.

The W-9 Form is used for those you are paying for services that are not on your payroll, at the end of the year they will receive a 1099 from you documenting this income. This form is to verify the name, address, and tax identification number of an individual receiving this income from you.
